DNA Double Helix Model
Watson, with Francis Crick and using Rosalind Franklin's data, built the first accurate model of DNA's double helix structure. This revealed how genetic information is stored as a sequence of base pairs and copied when cells divide. Understanding DNA's structure launched molecular biology, enabled genetic engineering, and made the Human Genome Project possible.
