Radioactivity Research

Curie discovered radioactivity and isolated two new elements, polonium and radium. Her work showed that atoms could break apart and release energy, fundamentally changing our understanding of matter. This pioneered cancer treatments through radiation therapy and nuclear energy. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and remains the only person to win in two different sciences.
